Not far from Hofgasteinerhaus on Schlossalm, the Laabkopf via ferrata boasts short and challenging ascents – an ideal practice route for advanced climbers looking to try their hand at higher difficulty levels. With a difficulty rating of C/D, the route should not be underestimated!
Take the Schlossalmbahn to the mountain station on Schlossalm. From there, it’s a 15-minute walk to the Laabkopf via ferrata. The short climbing route starts on challenging rock faces with difficulty levels C and D. The via ferrata then leads over short, steep ascents to the exit platform at Hofgasteinerhaus in approximately 25 minutes. You can stop for refreshments there – or descend to the Schlossalmbahn mountain station in about 15 minutes.
