Located near the Schlossalmbahn mountain station, the Tauernblick via ferrata follows the sunny south side, leading to the Hirschkarspitze summit cross and back via the circular hiking trail. This alpine climb, with a difficulty level of C/D, combines easy walking sections with challenging ridge sections. The effort will be duly rewarded with breathtaking views of the Hohe Tauern mountain range and stunning photo spots.
Just a short walk from the Schlossalmbahn mountain station, the Tauernblick via ferrata starts. The most challenging section, a slight overhang, features footholds for safety. The route leads through a rock crevice up to the summit cross. Be sure to take a break at the top before descending via the Hirschkarspitze loop back to the Schlossalmbahn mountain station!
