Are they edible or not? On Pilzweg trail in Dorfgastein, children and adults gain useful knowledge about the mushrooms of the Gastein Valley while hiking through serene mountain landscapes and forests. Noticeboards along the way provide you with information about what to keep in mind when picking mushrooms and which delicious meals you can use them for.
To get to the picturesque mushroom trail at Fulseck adventure mountain, you have to take Gipfelbahn Fulseck cable car up to the mountain station. From there, follow the signposted hiking trail to Arltörl, where you can stop by the chapel for a short break. Continue towards Heumoosalm and from there, follow the actual Pilzweg trail down to the middle station.
Along the way, special noticeboards provide you with detailed information on identifying, collecting, and cooking with regional mushrooms. The themed trail ends at the middle station, where you can hop on Gipfelbahn Fulseck cable car to get back down to the valley.
