The Dorfgastein ski area is the perfect destination for winter sports enthusiasts who prefer gently ascending slopes that are more on the flat side. The 4.8-kilometer route in Dorfgastein is a true delight for anyone yearning for a leisurely ski tour. A secured ascent route leads you from the Fulseck middle station up to the summit. The descent, in typical Dorfgastein fashion, is a relaxed journey down a moderate slope. Attention: The ascent from the valley station (ST 9a) is not possible due to wind damage!
You can embark on your mountain adventure right from Dorfgastein, courtesy of the Gipfelbahn Fulseck cable car, whisking you up to the middle station. Once you’ve arrived, simply follow the signposted snowshoe trail leading towards Heumoosalm, a charming spot that comes alive in the summer months. From there, you’ll glide effortlessly over the glistening snow towards Arltörl, where an iconic chapel invites you to stop and pause for a moment. The route continues, gently ascending towards Kieserl, the new mountain station. From this vantage point, you’ll already catch sight of your destination: the Fulseck mountain station.
In the mood for an impromptu ski touring adventure? When that spontaneous urge strikes, rest assured that the ski rental shops in Skigastein have the perfect equipment for your touring aspirations.
After an ascent filled with wonderful experiences, hunger is bound to strike. At Hauserbauer’s Gipflstadl mountain restaurant, perched majestically above the valley, you’ll be served tasty Alpine cuisine.
