"Die Nord" - the north course
Is "just" skiing or snowboarding not enough for you? Are you looking for a special challenge for piste pros this season? Then it's time to prepare your winter sports equipment - because in Skigastein, in addition to slopes of all levels of difficulty, a special kind of descent awaits you!
"Die Nord" is a snowy dream come true for ambitious winter sports fans. As one of the longest runs in the whole of Austria, it offers downhill fun in XXL format and a perfect mix of enjoyment and adventure.
For all those who like to track their skiing performance with Skiline, the "Die Nord’"is a must anyway - with this number of kilometres!

What awaits you on the new "Die Nord"
One thing is certain: " Die Nord" is not an everyday descent. You have to work for it - and the reward is an unrivalled feeling of triumph and freedom. Not every winter sports fan is up to the challenge. But in addition to true experts, the piste also rewards advanced skiers with unforgettable impressions.
Gentle hills, steep passages and sections of varying difficulty provide plenty of variety. The upper part of the H1 slope is entirely dedicated to enjoyment. The finest natural snow meets unspoilt nature and breathtaking panoramic views over the Hohe Tauern. The hilly sections and the challenging steep slope, on the other hand, get even experienced skiers' pulses racing.
Winter sports memories for eternity
Once you have conquered "Die Nord", you will never forget this unique experience. Among other things, two special photo points along the route ensure that personal masterpieces are captured forever.
Right at the start of the ‘Nord’, you can pose for a live photo in front of a spectacular backdrop at the start house. At the bottom of the valley, the comparison photo follows: your personal triumph photo is taken on the leader wall with the winner's podium. Before or after: which of the two pictures do you think your grin will be bigger in?
„Die Nord“ and you: the best time
Otherwise, the same applies on the ‘Nord’: the early bird catches the skiing fun. If you're already on your skis at around 9.00 a.m., the piste is in top form at your feet. Freshly groomed, with clear visibility and the best chance of making the first tracks in the snow. The soft morning light creates a fascinating play of colours and makes your experience of nature even more intense.
