Skigastein Connects brings people together who share a passion for skiing, sport and the mountains. Together with the Gastein cable cars, professional freerider Sandra Lahnsteiner-Wagner, the host of the series of episodes, invites well-known personalities to the Gastein mountains. The encounters are not just about skiing - they are about stories, emotions and the special relationship with Gastein.

Sandra Lahnsteiner-Wagner is a freerider, filmmaker and committed ambassador for skiing. The Gastein native has developed into a formative personality on the international freeride scene.
Sporting career: She switched from ski racing to freeriding, received numerous awards for her achievements in ski films and founded the Shades of Winter freeride camps for women.
Success as a filmmaker: Sandra has been producing and directing films and TV documentaries on six continents since 2010, including ski action for the ORF series School of Champions and projects for Bergwelten. Her productions under extreme conditions enjoy international recognition.
Personal: In 2022 she married Gernot Wagner, the ski sports director of the Gastein ski tourism schools.

Nicole Schmidhofer, 2017 Super-G World Champion, doesn't just appreciate Gastein as a ski resort. On a day of skiing together, today's ORF helmet camerawoman Sandra tells us that she also spent a lot of time in the valley during her rehab.
