A winter holiday in Gastein without going sledding is simply unimaginable! Skigastein’s sledding runs offer thrilling experiences for winter fans of all ages. The Schlossalm run tempts with its speedy curves, while the Bellevue run promises nighttime sledding fun – a must for all snow sports enthusiasts!
Want to swoosh downhill through the snow? The Aeroplan natural sledding run in Bad Hofgastein promises endless downhill fun for the whole family. To reach this run, simply take the Schlossalmbahn cable car to its middle station. And if you’re in the mood for a cosy refreshment stop first, you can go on a short 15-minute, well-signposted winter walk from the middle station to Aeroplanstadl. That’s where you can indulge in a variety of delicacies, drinks, and breathtaking views. Afterwards, you can head down the mountain on your sled!
Important to note: During the day, you can use the Winter ALL-IN Card White or the Pistengeher season ticket for the ascent to the middle station. The tickets for night sledding are only avaluable at the cash desk Schlossalm (half price for adult ALL-IN Card White, All-In Card Gold or SuperSki CardPremium holders).

To add a touch of magic to your sledding experience, you should go after sunset! The Schlossalmbahn cable car takes you to the middle station – the starting point for your night sledding adventure. On site, the floodlit Aeroplan run offers a romantic atmosphere as you glide downhill. To ensure your nighttime excursion becomes a truly magical experience, please take note of the following information:
If the idea of whooshing down a meticulously groomed sledding run appeals to you, then the Bellevue run is a must-visit. After a brief chairlift ride, you’ll arrive at the starting point.
At the Bellevue Alm, you can treat yourself to a cosy “pitstop” by an open fire, where you can savour hearty delicacies and sip on warm drinks. Then you’re all set to head out on your thrilling ride. The sledding run winds through narrow serpentines and stretches out along wider straight sections, mostly amidst the picturesque snow-covered winter forest. If you happen to start your excursion after dark, you can sled down the floodlit run.
The best part: You don’t have to lug your sled uphill! Instead, you can conveniently rent it right on site at the mountain station.
