Open summit day

On the "Open Summit Day" on Saturday, March 29, 2025 the ascent and descent is free of charge for all pedestrians. The Schlossalmbahn, Senderbahn, Stubnerkogelbahn, Goldbergbahn lifts take you up the mountain, from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain landscape and the Gastein Valley.

The free ascent and descent tickets can be picked up at the ticket offices of the Gastein cable cars (NO ski transport possible!).

Mountain panorama enjoyment on the Stubnerkogel with 360° panoramic views, leisurely hiking on the Schlossalm, relaxing in the refreshing mountain air and views of the Hohe Tauern National Park? You can experience all of this on the Open Summit Day. Our cable cars take locals and guests to the summits free of charge and in comfort, where they can enjoy the spring sunshine and panoramic views to the full.
