Operating hours of the lifts at Graukogel, the natural-snow ski resort

At Graukogel ski resort, you can hop on Graukogelbahn or Reichebenlift to get to the starting point of your snow adventure – from Thursday to Sunday.

We very much regret that we will not be able to open the natural snow ski area Graukogel as planned on December 26, 2025 due to the current poor natural snow conditions. As soon as the snow situation improves, we will inform you immediately about further operations on the Graukogel.

You can swoosh down the beginner-friendly slopes of Dorfgastein-Großarltal ski resort. Take a seat in the comfy cabins of Gipfelbahn Fulseck cable car or Panoramabahn cable car and conveniently ride up to the starting points of many great slopes.

Slope closure in Skigastein

The ski slopes of the Schlossalm - Angertal - Stubnerkogel ski area are open from 8:30 a.m., on the Graukogel and in Sportgastein from 9:00 a.m.. Depending on the location of the ski slope and the time of year, the ski slopes are closed from 4:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m.
Skiing on or entering the slopes during this time is prohibited! Exceptions apply for evening ski tours and early morning skiing.

Summer operating hours of Goldbergbahn cable car in Sportgastein

Goldbergbahn cable car only operates on special promotion days during summer – on the weekend of the “Nassfelder Almfest”. On these days, Goldbergbahn cable car is in operation from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

TIP: From the Goldbergbahn mountain station, it is just a few minutes' walk to the Kreuzkogel summit cross at 2,686 meters. The ascent on the action days is rewarded with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountain landscape. Be there and experience the mountain panorama!
