Up in the mountains, exceptional hiking routes and attractions are waiting for nature lovers. If you don’t feel like covering the way up there by foot, simply hop on the Schlossalmbahn in Bad Hofgastein, the Stubnerkogelbahn, the Graukogel chairlift or the Senderbahn (in Angertal) in Bad Gastein, as well as the Fulseck lift in Dorfgastein or use the Goldbergbahn in Sportgastein.

Section tickets: for certain sections only

You don’t always need to ride all the way to the top to get to stunning vantage points or the starting points of great hiking routes. With a section ticket, you can get off at the middle station and start exploring the beautiful mountain world from there.

Ascents & descents at sunset: evening rides in Skigastein

Would you like to experience the golden hour up in the mountains? On the adventure mountains of Skigastein, you can enjoy the summit sunset every week. On select days, Schlossalmbahn cable car and Stubnerkogelbahn cable car respectively offer additional rides from 6 to 10 p.m. Plus, the mountain restaurants offer folk music and culinary delights on these days.

General information and age groups for Skigastein

Before you buy a ticket for the summer cable cars of Gastein, consider the following:

Non-transferable tickets: Please keep in mind that your ticket cannot be transferred to another person.
Deposit for keycards: For every keycard ticket, you have to pay a deposit of € 3.
Transport of sports equipment: Please note that you need a special ticket to bring sports equipment like mountain bikes or paragliders with you on the cable car.

With a valid ID, the following applies when purchasing a summer ticket:

Adults: born in 2006 or younger
Youths: born between 2007 and 2009
Children: born between 2010 and 2019
Toddlers: born in 2020 or younger
Discounts: Persons with a disability ID card (with a documented disability level of 70 % or more) receive a discount on standard ticket prices.
